5 Things No One Tells You About Going To War

Comments 41

  1. My father says that he misses the war. They were better friends and he said it was "dangerously fun". He was glad to be on the lesser equiped side during the Croatian war for independence.

  2. when is was the last big war these peeps have never been in a crazy war soo..let me tell the  bad part… there is a 80 percent chance that you will get blown up loose body parts.. die .. or become prisoner

  3. I was going to say, if you guys are having a good time in war, then clearly you haven't seen a whole ton of intense, equally matched action.

Ask ANY troops from ANY side how "good of a time" they had in WW1, WW2, Korea, or Vietnam. I daresay you'll get different stories.

I mean how many American soldiers died in the middle east since 2003? like 4500 in Iraq and 2500 in afghanistan? So like 7000 total? give or take? Since 2003? so thats 13 years?

Compare that to WW2. On D-day ALONE, AMERICANS alone lost just under 10,000 troops. IN ONE DAY. The total losses for both Allies and Germans, IN ONE DAY was over 420,000.

and WW2 only lasted 6 years! thats not even 1/2 the time of the middle eastern "war on terror"

Compared to WW2 the Americans are having a roflstomp. I'm sure if the numbers for the War on Terror looked a little more like what we see in WW2, these guys wouldn't be talking about the "good times" as nearly as much.
