Buzzfeed writers Lie about Social Media Bias

Comments 48

  1. Tim…. Someday you might want to swallow the red pill, instead of holding it under your tounge. It's ok to hold your values and beliefs, and still be conservative. If all this Liberal progressive bullshit doesn't convince you, then I don't know what will.

  2. Tim lies about his beanie and his relationship with his beanie to protect YOU the people which watch Tim.
It is for YOUR benefit to not be in the know as to why the beanie is always there so Tim can protect himself and YOU.

  3. All the Google people were just having a virtue signaling session. They weren't crying genuine tears. They were "crying" in the same way Don Lemon did on CNN. That being said, Trump getting elected and the Republicans getting majority really does scare them to death. Because it means their influence isn't as strong as they thought it was. If they can't get HIllary and the Democrats elected after having 90% control over all print, video and internet media…that's REALLY sad. And might be a sign their ideas are really not popular. But they're not going to change themselves. Oh no, they're too smart (prideful and arrogant) to admit they're wrong. No, it's the public (ignorant serfs) who are wrong. They just need more shaming and propaganda.

As for the lying in this article, they're doing that for the exact reason you brought up. The type of person who reads their articles are people who blindly follow their articles. They will only read left-wing media posts, never checking the sources or getting an opposing view from opposing media outlets. When they know their audience has such blind fervor, why would they tell the truth? Hardly anyone is going to fact check them. And the few people who do, they will just call them Hitler and write an article against them, making all their loyal readers pounce on that person. Thankfully, this tactic is leading to more and more people being excommunicated from the church of liberalism. And eventually, no one will be left.

  4. Tim, it is worth pointing out that my father, who has been a Republican his whole life and pays for the Hugh Hewitt podcast subscription, landed dead center two and a half squares down on the political compass test. I think people are conflating social conservatives (evangelical conservative when it came to the bush era) with American conservatives. The first being more authoritarian and the latter being more libretarian. Social conservatism as a political philosophy instead of a personal one is an affront to the founding principal of individual liberty and autonomy due to it advocating for state sanctioned regulation of expression, civil liberties, and compelled speech based on an imposed moral system instead of the persuit and protection of liberty as far as it can extend without encroachment on that of others. As such it is not compatible with American conservatism and most importantly republicanism.

It is worth noting that the current GoP is distincly against republicanism. Which is why Conservatives like myself loath the party despite it being our political voice.

  5. If there are Conservatives working at Google, like many other companies (Twitter, Charter, Youtube, Microsoft, ATT, Verizon, Sprint, etc.) they probably tend to keep low and don't talk about politics because they know the majority are probably Liberal and they view Conservatives are the Devil.

  6. There's quite a bit of difference between lying and not wanting to reveal your sources.

Also, didn't you use to say Buzzfeed News was fairly decent?

Another thing, why would you say "I can't understand why you can't Google search." I use the word "search(-engine)" and Google is not on the recommended list for all the reasons outlined in your video.

  7. Zarathustras Serpent has a good take on how liberals are hoodwinked by Marxists and turned into what he calls “passive regressives” precisely because they don’t take the time to evaluate issues and just rely on tribalism

  8. You make a lot of good points here Tim, but, unfortunately, at 2:26 you say:

" I don't watch Fox News, I don't read Breitbart, I don't go to these websites, so they're not really in my field of view because I go to left-wing sites"

I suggest you consider the words of John Stuart Mill:

"He who knows only his own side of the case knows little of that. His reasons may be good, and no one may have been able to refute them. But if he is equally unable to refute the reasons on the opposite side, if he does not so much as know what they are, he has no ground for preferring either opinion… Nor is it enough that he should hear the opinions of adversaries from his own teachers, presented as they state them, and accompanied by what they offer as refutations. He must be able to hear them from persons who actually believe them…he must know them in their most plausible and persuasive form.”

  9. GOOGLE supports the LEFT, as do many other large companies, so that the LEFT won't attack them on their tax avoidance.
Just look at what NIKE did. The Kaepernick move takes focus off their sweatshops.
People on the LEFT are incredibly gullible.

  10. Re: Big Tech tax avoidance schemes. These legal loopholes exist & I'm certain they exist for a reason. If Governments were serious about abolishing the loopholes, they would do so. So you have to ask yourselves the logical next step, which is; why are they there then? I can only surmise that they're there intentionally & someone doesn't want them closed. I'm Australian & the Australian Government & Australian Tax Office publish an annual list of the top 100 companies who pay the least amount of Tax. And surprise, surprise; both Google & Apple appear on the list.

  11. Bias against conservatives on social media just like black people literally cannot be racist. It is impossible for a black person to be racist as the melanoma in the skin shields the perception of the person so a black person will only treat non-blacks without clear bias and discrimination. Those four blacks who kidnapped that special needs white kid was not committing an act of real evil and pure hate crime racism. They were actually white people who were digitally altered to appear black. That white kid was actually a black kid, digitally altered to appear white.

  12. I agree there is a difference between a movement and a *conspiracy*. Movements are in the open, and do not see what they do has wrong. There is a Leftish movement and a Rightish movement which like amoebas spread and shift across space and time while competing for use of the same limited resources. It is this latter that resorts in conflict, at whatever level and by whatever means necessary to survive.

  13. The phrase "international liberal order" is not a politically loaded term but refers to the global rise of capitalism and representative democracy as a leading norm since pretty much WW2. Governments like this find it relatively easy to trade, do business, and organize together.

  14. Tim, conservatives have principles and their own beliefs. They are not a morally bankrupt block of homogeneous ideologues. If you want to CONSERVE the American traditions of Classical Liberalism and rule of law, then you are a conservative. The question isn't whether you will become a conservative or not. The question is when you will acknowledge for a fact something that already exists.

  15. The LEFT ……
"To do evil a human being must first of all believe that what he's doing is good… Ideology – that is what gives devildoing its long-sought justification and gives the evildoer the necessary steadfastness and determination.

That is the social theory which helps to make his acts seem good instead of bad in his own and others' eyes, so that he won't hear reproaches and curses but will receive praise and honors."

    -Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn
