Morning Joe ran some video this morning of the incident yesterday.
While casting his ballot in Chicago on Monday, President Obama was given an unusual voting instruction.
“Mr. President, don’t touch my girlfriend,” a Chicago man, later identified by CNN as Mike Jones, quipped as he walked by the pair casting their ballots.
“I really wasn’t planning on it,” Obama shot back with a smile.
Jones’ finance, Aia Cooper, flushed with embarrassment and apologized for her boyfriend.
“I am sorry, please excuse him… I can’t believe Mike, he is such a fool,” she said.
Obama joked Jones was “an example of a brother just embarrassing you for no reason whatsoever” but said the pair would at least have a story for their friends and family.
