UB40 Food For Thought

Comments 26

  1. Strangely enough this was not a hit when it was first released. Some 9 months after its release, and likely because of its reference to Christmas in the lyrics, it hit the big time in December. Its one of my favourites along with Johnny 2 bad.

  2. When they sold out nobody who bought that first album could understand but at the end of the day they couldn't replicate it or beat it and despite being a bargain bin special a charity shop staple for such a long time it still resonates today

  3. I had a UB40 back then, the code number for the card you needed to sign on for unemployment benefit, untold people on the scrapheap while Thatcher ripped the country to pieces – asset strippers, privatization, the miners strike – what happened to England?
